I finished the Kitty Pied Piper needlepoint

I finished my Pied Piper needlepoint canvas.  It was a lot of fun to stitch.  I got to use a lot of my vintage threads.  I used 1920s art silk for the flowers, 1950s no 5 DMC for the back mountain and tree, various metallics for the pipe and notes.   I used 1970s wool for the kitty, gray mouse, and caramel mouse as well as the yellow green ground.  I used white angora for the kitty's tummy and the two white mice.  The rest was modern DMC 6 strand.  It was fun to stitch. Their whiskers are fine silver threads that refuse to show in the picture.

My next project is a sexy lady Alligator

I purchased my next project off Ebay and it should arrive Friday or Saturday.  Here she is!  She is a hand painted Noiset needlepoint canvas.

I am working on a wall of dressed animal needlepoint.  Isn't Allie gorgeous?  I have some lovely wools that will do for her dress and her fan and the lamp will be in metallic.

My good luck jewelry

I love going to the local casino with my Mom and husband.  It's a lot of fun and I get to wear my prettiest clothes and jewelry.  We found a new machine that has been reliable for a extra $100 income every time, as long as we stick to the plan and stop when we are ahead.  It's a Chinese dragon machine, and the extra games pay off the best.  I seldom get the pearl bonus round, when I do, I usually win in the $300 range on a fifty cent bet.  So, I decided I wanted to get a good luck necklace since my gold four leaf clover isn't doing the job.  This is what I bought....

It's a multiple strand of natural rice pearls from the 1980s.  I love pearls and know these have to be good luck...see the clasp!
It has a dragon's head clasp.    This is the game I play
Wish me luck!

My new blog and my skeleton needlepoint

This is my new blog to post about my needlework projects, my perfumes, and my jewelry.    I will start with my first needlepoint.  I did it in January 2019

He is a happy fellow, don't you think? I've been wanting him for years and suddenly I took a very early retirement to care for disabled family members and had enough pension to buy him.  Thank you USPS!  The threads were included, but were a bit scant so I had to improvise.  He is stitched from angora yarn.  He took about 5 weeks to finish.  I plan to frame him in a gold carved frame when I find one at the thrift store.
